In winter season

In winter, you will of course enjoy skiing by exploring the 4 most beautiful ski areas in the Alps located between 10 and 35 minutes from the chalet.

  • Les Arcs with the PARADISKI area, 425 km of slopes, the 3rd largest area in the world!
  • Val d’Isère and Tignes with ESPACE KILLY, 300 km of slopes,
  • La Rosière with ESPACE SAN BERNARDO, 160 km of slopes between France and Italy!
  • SAINTE FOY TARENTAISE SKI AREA, 43 km of slopes and an exceptional off-piste area!

But it’s not just skiing in the mountains. The Tarentaise valley will allow you to discover many other activities.

La Grange des Eulets is surrounded by diverse and varied hikes. From an easy family tour to a hike with an overnight stay in a refuge, there is something for everyone.

You will also appreciate the picturesque mountain hamlet of Monal. Located above Sainte Foy Tarentaise, this authentic village bathes in the calm of nature. Accessible only on foot, in winter it will be during an unforgettable snowshoe hike that you will discover this place forgotten by time.

During your hikes, you may come across high-altitude lakes. In summer, they are the ideal place to take a picnic break. And in winter, it will be the opportunity to go ice diving, like in Tignes, at more than 2000 meters above sea level! And if being under the ice doesn’t reassure you, then you will have to try the ice climbing experience.

For those who are afraid of heights and prefer dry land, fans of thrills and motor sports can go to Val d’Isère or Tignes which have an ice circuit. You will drive various machines, from karting to the craziest sports cars, during sessions with friends or driving courses accompanied by a professional driver.

And if driving on ice wasn’t enough for you, then maybe you should go and sit in a bobsleigh at the Olympic track in La Plagne! Hurtling down the course in a 4-man bobsled, piloted by a pro at over 120 km/h…..! Sensations guaranteed!

On a completely different note , La Vallée de Rosuel, located above Peisey-Nancroix, is an idyllic place with easy access. This still wild valley floor offers the possibility of Nordic skiing or a short walk in the snow. You will be able to see the beautiful stoats or the famous bearded vulture, a magnificent bird of prey of our mountains, if you have good eyes.

And when there is no more snow…?!

A whole new range of activities is open to you. Starting with white water sports. You will find a stone’s throw from the chalet the international whitewater base of Bourg Saint Maurice which hosts various championships every year. In rafting, hydrospeed, canoeing, come and experience the rapids of the Isère.

From Villaroger to Aime, via Bourg Saint Maurice, all along Isère there is a greenway for walking along the water or for a bike ride. This route will take you to the Macôt lake to swim or enjoy a picnic on its banks.

For cycling enthusiasts, the Tarentaise Valley is regularly the scene of Tour de France cycling events; Col de l’Iseran, Cormet de Roseland, the Valley offers superb cycling routes.

Still on two wheels, you can hurtle down the steep slopes of the surrounding peaks on a downhill mountain bike! Each area has a bike park with its own particularities, such as the Les Arcs area which allows a difference in altitude from the summit of La Cachette at an altitude of 2,172 m to Bourg Saint Maurice in the valley at an altitude of 850 meters!

And golf…? With three golf courses located between 20 and 35 minutes from the chalet, golfers will be in paradise! Les Arcs, Tignes and La Rosière each offer atypical courses since they are located on the slopes of the slopes. Be careful, it’s sporty!

Let’s not forget about those who enjoy flying. The mountain is a great place to discover paragliding. A tandem flight to fly with bearded vultures or experienced ones who wish to discover new places, everyone will be amazed!

An alternative to paragliding will be the Les Arcs zip line. You will travel the 1,800 metres of this crazy descent towards Arc 2000 at nearly 130 km/h. Sitting or lying down, alone or in a duo, you will remember it!

After exploring this fabulous playground you will have to think about regaining your strength. And that’s why the mountains always offer delicious recipes that you can enjoy in the best surrounding restaurants or in the warmth of the chalet. Looking for “canteen” or rather “gastro”? Between France and Italy, gourmet gourmets will have something to please themselves with tartiflettes, croziflettes, Savoyard fondues, polenta diots, raclettes, pierrades, etc.
